Major requirements for the College of Letters and Science
Students who apply for transfer admission to selective majors are required to complete major preparation courses and meet additional course and GPA requirements.
Students need to take all courses for a letter grade with no grade less than C and complete all major preparatory course requirements by the end of spring term prior to their fall enrollment. Pass/No Pass does not fulfill selective major requirements unless taken during the Covid terms of winter, spring and summer 2020. The Department Agreements as published on ASSIST are also important documents. Reference them in conjunction with the major agreements as needed. Students must complete all admission requirements by the end of spring term before they transfer. Any summer coursework completed prior to transferring will not count toward admission requirements.
Selective major requirements
Transfer students are encouraged to complete as many major preparation courses listed under other major requirements prior to transfer as shown on the .
Some majors in the College of Letters and Science have additional transfer requirements.
Â鶹´«Ã½ requires a minimum 2.80 GPA for admission. Transfer Admission Guarantee, or TAG, for the College of Letters and Science requires at least a 3.20 GPA for all majors. The data science major is not open to TAG.
