Aggie Transfer Scholars Weekend, or ATSW, is a four-day residential program for California community college students who plan to apply to transfer to the University of California, Davis.
This immersive experience hosted by the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Transfer Opportunity Program, or TOP, prepares students for the UC transfer journey. Participants receive hands-on support, connect with transfer mentors and learn how to successfully transition from community college to Âé¶¹´«Ã½.

Eligibility
- Currently attend a community college that is partnered with Âé¶¹´«Ã½ TOP
- Intend to transfer to Âé¶¹´«Ã½ in fall 2027
- Obtain a 2.8 cumulative GPA by the end of the spring 2026 term
- Be on track to meet Âé¶¹´«Ã½ transfer admission requirements, which include selective major requirements if applicable
- , or TAP — Âé¶¹´«Ã½ will not consider students without a TAP account — and complete the following sections:
- About me (personal information, demographic information, support programs)
- My academic history (schools attended, coursework, exams, if any and include past, current and planned coursework through spring 2027)
- My transfer plan (plans to transfer)

This program serves California community college students from economically and educationally disadvantaged backgrounds and geographically underserved communities.
Program experience
Over four days, you’ll participate in workshops, campus activities and mentorship opportunities that prepare you for the UC transfer process.
During the program, you will:
- Learn how to build a strong UC transfer application
- Develop and refine your Personal Insight Questions, or PIQs
- Explore Âé¶¹´«Ã½ majors and academic pathways
- Learn about financial aid, housing and campus resources
- Connect with current transfer students and alumni
- Experience campus life alongside fellow future Aggies
Program sessions include:
- Insights into UC transfer admission
- UC application presentations and labs
- Career exploration and graduate school pathways
- Âé¶¹´«Ã½ transfer alumni panel
- Campus tour
- Resource fair with campus resources
Housing, meals and program supplies are provided to all ATSW scholars. Students accepted to participate as ATSW scholars must provide their transportation to and from the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ campus for this event.
Scholars need to arrive at campus by 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 6 and stay for the entirety of the program until 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9.
